Q: can I keep two male rabbits together? A No they will fight unless you have them both neutered Q: can I keep a male and female rabbit together? A: no they will mate continuously and fight unless you have them neutered Q What can I keep with my male rabbit? A unless your rabbit is neutered then it must be kept on its own. If it was neutered than consider a female rabbit or a guinea pig Q Does my rabbit need hay? A yes , roughage in the form of hay is a basic requirement for a rabbit. Q I have had two females together since they were 6 weeks old. Now at 6 months they are " mating" and fighting. Why is this and what can I do? A Once rabbits reach sexual maturity, the hormones kick in. Unfortunately no two rabbits react the same and you really have to play this by ear. If they do not harm one another then leave them together , but if one is harming the other then they must be separated. They may go back together after a while but it is more than likely that they will not. consider neutering Q I bought a lop eared rabbit and its ears had not gone down. At what age do they lop? A Some lop their ears at four weeks , some take to twelve weeks. In rare cases they do not lop at all, but stick out at strange angles . we call these helecopter ears!! .
